Eight levels in the Outline
Problem:
Why can't I create a child task more than eight levels deep? Why can't I drag some projects to a lower level?Solution:
The eight level limit affects creating child tasks and also dragging to the right - if you have a project with eight levels, dragging to a lower level still won't take the bottom tasks lower than eight levels.We limit the outline to eight levels because we need to make sure that when you sync to Palm OS devices, many of which have screens that are only 160 pixels wide, all your tasks remain accessible.
Also, we generally recommend that you take an approach where you have about three levels
Top Level: Stated as BIG goals
---Second Level: for medium size Projects
------Third level for Tasks, things that can be done in a sitting
You might have some extra subprojects levels, but we recommend that you keep the outline relatively flat. For most purposes, that seems to work out well.
