New versions of Life Balance software from Llamagraphics have been released. Life Balance™ is personal coaching software that helps you to decide what to work on, so that you can put your effort into the goals, projects and tasks that really matter to you.

The big story this time around is on the Mac. The new 4.0 release of Life Balance for Macintosh is a Universal Binary including support for Leopard. Among the feature highlights in this release, is a rule based reminder system that only alerts you to tasks that meet certain criteria, like being important enough to prompt for your attention. You can be even more efficient by automating work flow to other applications like email and iCal.

What's New in Life Balance 4.0 for Macintosh?

  • ✴Support for Mac OS X Leopard
  • ✴Universal binary, runs natively on both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macintosh computers.
  • ✴AppleScript support with a full featured dictionary that covers most of the application. You can now create and modify Life Balance tasks, places and events using AppleScript.
  • ✴Synchronizes with iCal using Sync Services. This means that your Life Balance calendar and to-dos are available anywhere that iCal is: on your iPod or iPhone, published on your .Mac web site, or synced to other computers that share your .Mac account.
  • ✴Ten custom Automator actions for some of the most common Life Balance operations.
  • ✴Pop-up reminders for your most important scheduled tasks.
  • ✴Support for Spotlight indexing, so you can easily locate text inside your Life Balance documents.
  • ✴And more!

There are also new Life Balance versions for Palm OS and Windows XP and Vista users! Life Balance on those platforms has been updated to version 3.4. There are changes for Palm conduits. There are enhancements for Vista. On Windows, you’ll enjoy the new “skip”, “postpone” and “catch up” features. The releases on Windows and Palm are free updates, the Mac release is a paid upgrade.
