6/8/2006 - Summer Greetings and pretty peonies to our Life Balance™ Customers!

The myth of summer is that it is full of lazy lemonade sipping days by the sea, picnics and good times. However those things won't happen if you don't carve out the time you need to plan and prepare for them. Every summer outing requires a little research (where to go, what to take along, checking the weather report.) Life Balance is a wonderful tool to use to get that summertime magic to happen for you and your families.

Betas gearing up

If you've been following along in the blog, you know that we have upgrades planned for Life Balance on all platforms. We're currently focusing extra attention on the Mac for our early testing and then will extend the beta testing to the other platforms. The betas have already been making great use of the new Applescript and Automator support in the Universal Binary build of Life Balance that will run natively on the new Macs using the Intel chip. We also have a whole new product in the pipeline for Windows Mobile 5 users. If you are interested in participating in the beta, get in touch via the support center. Send your configuration details and a short paragraph letting us know why you would be an excellent addition to the beta team. You must be able to send your data files if necessary, sign a non-disclosure agreement, and be responsible to have regular backups to safeguard your own data. There are only about a dozen spots remaining, so even if those spots are quickly filled, we will put you on a stand by list.

Don't miss the new Customer Spotlight features

We recently had two customers from the gulf coast get in touch with us about their experience of last year's hurricane Katrina. "Ben from New Orleans" recently wrote in with a very touching testimonial about how Life Balance helped him gain a positive view of his future. Michael Gremillion also shared his amazing story in an email interview and sent in remarkable photos documenting how he took his Treo 650 with him on the "swim." Let us know if you have a story to share with our community of Life Balance users. We would love to spotlight your inspiring projects and life goals.

Podcasts about Life Balance

Did you know that there are Podcasts on the Llamagraphics web site with short audio downloads discussing the concepts behind Life Balance? This is a great new way to introduce your friends and colleagues to Life Balance, too. We'll be creating more of these as we go along.

Opportunity to join a new coaching group

Are you living your intentions? If you are not following through on your intentions and plans, consider joining a new success team starting in June. This will be a group coaching experience led by Work-Life and Career Coach Sharon Teitelbaum. You will meet twice a month by phone (conference line) for accountability coaching and creative challenge-solving. Not just a rah-rah-you-can-do-it meeting, these regular sessions will help you stay focused and consistently in action that moves you in the direction you want to go.

If you are interested, contact Sharon at Sharon@stcoach.com for an initial consultation at no charge and to determine if the group would be a good fit for you.

ADD 101 for College Students

Career coach, Victoria Ball, has created a new 60 minute guide "ADD 101 for College Students" on DVD or CD full of cutting edge facts and practical tips to successfully manage your academic career and your life. The material is appropriate to college students, graduate students, and adult learners with ADD or ADHD, their parents and family members and university staff and faculty.

Race for the Cure

One of my personal goals for this summer is to train for the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure” event in Boston on September 10, 2006. This is something positive that I can do with my energy, in a spirit of love and support for my aunt and my family.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - Massachusetts Affiliate is a global catalyst in the fight against breast cancer and is credited with changing the way people think about the disease and those who survive it. The Foundation has a nearly 25-year history of patient advocacy, building awareness and raising funds for research and community outreach programs.

If you would like to support my efforts to reach my goal -- please make a contribution of any amount on my personal pledge page. It all adds up and together we can make a real difference.
