Support Tip: Save yourself some trouble - Use current versions of Life Balance together
To use Hotsync to exchange data between platform versions of Life Balance, you must use the current versions of the software which are designed to work together.
Life Balance v4 is the ONLY version on the Macintosh that will sync with Life Balance v3.4 for Palm. Life Balance Versions 3.3 and 3.4 for Windows both have conduits that recognize the Life Balance v3.4 format on Palm.
The conduits for Life Balance desktop editions for both Mac and Windows version 3.2.7 and earlier are incompatible and will likely corrupt your data if you try to use them with Life Balance v3.4 for Palm OS. If you encounter this problem, upgrade to the latest version of Life Balance on the desktop, and do a "Desktop overwrites handheld" sync to write fresh data to the Palm.
Life Balance 3.2.8 and 3.2.9 conduits will simply refuse to sync with Life Balance 3.4 for Palm OS, since they recognize that the data is in an unknown format. Life Balance 3.4 for Palm OS is not compatible with Life Balance 3.2.9 for Macintosh.
