Question re: LB desktop with MS Outlook
Anyone here use Ms Outlook along with LB desktop/palm.
Do you import/export between the two at all ?
I've tried to avoid syncing palm with outlook and tasks with LB but there's so much that comes in via outlook it creates a lot of double entry if I don't. It works ok --but LB works so much better without import/export
I'm curious to see how others have this set up ?
Thanks for any input you can offer
Paul

RE: Question re: LB desktop with MS Outlook
I started out with import/export to Outlook before the Windows LB Desktop version was out. Since I sometimes enter tasks in Outlook and sometimes on the Palm I kept it.
Also I wanted some easy backup of the tasks in outlook (had some Palm hardware problems before the desktop version, so I used the Outlook tasks to GTD), it still gives me a secure feeling knowing I have my tasks stored in two different formats.
Now I use the Palm in day-to-day doing and the LB desktop version for Weekly Review (if I get to that).
RE: Question re: LB desktop with MS Outlook
I too am trying LB for the first time. I use Outlook. Am a little confused. Should my tasks be showing up somewhere in outlook, or do I have to manually set that up or reenter (drag if I do). When I set tasks to be done on certain time in LB they don't show up in Outlook under the calender. Do most people use LB as their calender, if so it seems very weak for that purpose. this is day 3 and I suspect there may be alot still to learn, but am curious how others use this program with outlook.
RE: Question re: LB desktop with MS Outlook
As far as I understand, Life Balance for Windows is a self-contained program that doesn't directly interface with Outlook at this time.
It's the palm version that people are using to link up with outlook on their desktop.
If you're using the Palm version also, I'll walk you through it if you want.
