Saving the .LBD file as a backup?

If I save a different .LBD file each time before a purge, will I always have a backup of what was purged?

yes

Everything's contained in the one file.

Note that LB automatically does this for the Palm version (on a schedule, not specifically related to Purges) , not sure about in a Win-only environment.

Where is the automatically saved file at?

It's interesting that you say that the Palm version is backed up automatically. I had a posted a question in the Windows community "Finding the archive of Purged tasks" and Catherine of LB didn't say anything about some automatic backups. Maybe I should have made it more clear that I'm using LB on Windows AND my Palm Tungsten T3. I don't care where I get the backed up data from, I just want the data. If I can get it through my Palm, that's fine.

Automated backups

Location can vary depending on your version of Windows.

The manual says where the snapshots for the Palm data usually are:

Also Life Balance does backup the Windows data every few minutes, in case of a crash, but these files are usually recovered automatically.

And of course, just having good routine backups of your hard disk is a good to do too. On Mac, there is also Time Machine to keep you out of trouble.

Hope that is helpful to you.

Thanks

Thanks Catherine. Now I know I can find that .lbd file in my old HD backups for the data already purged in addition to saving a .lbd file before purging in the future.
