Instructions for Downloadable CSV Conversion Tool?
Greetings,
I sent a note to tech support, but thought that others may be interested in this also. Can you please provide instructions on how to use the downloadable CSV conversion tool?
I use the CSV file for many things, to include filtering my projects for review as well as to filter my completed items for review. I will be away from internet access for a while and would like to be able to continue to get a copy of the CSV export file.
Thanks,
Dwight...

Resending Request for Support
Greetings,
As a long time registered user of LifeBalance, I had hoped for the courtesy of a response either to this forum post or the tech support request. I am still trying to understand how to use the "CSV Conversion Tool" that is available for download from your site.
I have just quickly evaluated Version 5 2 1. I am wondering why more of the file types available for conversion on the Conversion Tools page of your web site didn't get included in the file types that are available from the new "File/Open" command. Text, Bonsai and CSV would be welcomed.
Best Wishes,
Dwight...
XML formats...
The ones we included were XML formats. Bonsai may have been an oversight on Stuart's part. We can look into that one. Text and CSV were not included because they were not XML. We may be able to extend to Text and CSV in the future if folks are really interested in that.
Best wishes,

I'm still trying to figure out the XSLT conversion file.
Greetings,
It would be great if a future version of LifeBalance included CSV conversion (import/export) from within the program, but for now I am still trying to figure out how to use the down loaded "XSLT conversion file". I notice that others have also asked to instructions.
The file I am talking about is on your web site under the "Resources" page under "Convert Your Data" then click on "Convert to CSV". There is a link called "you can download the XSLT conversion file."
Any assistance on how to use that conversion file tool would be most appreciated.

Conversion tools, templates & field formats
Hi,
Like the others im wanting more/usable information on conversion formats. Specfically Toodledo integration. I notice that Desktop Mac has ICAL, windows users like myself do not...
Please can you provide some information/feedback around your future (Windows Desktop) develoment roadmap, as well as an import template (field type, descriptors and ordering) so these tools are more usable by end users like myself ?
Regards,
Derrick
Our XML formats are documented and available:
Yes. You may not be aware that our XML formats are documented and available over here:
http://www.llamagraphics.com/developer/life-balance-exchange-file-format
Much of that is provided aimed at a developer level, rather than targetted at end users, but XML is just a text format.
I hope that is helpful to you.
Best wishes,

Does Anyone Know How to use the CSV Conversion Tool?
Greetings,
Below is the information found at the link you provided:
"The desktop editions of Life Balance import and export XML files called Life Balance exchange (.lbe) files. This file format is specified by two XML schema definition (.xsd) files, life-balance-exchange.xsd and xcal.xsd. Any program that can read and write this format can exchange information with Life Balance."
I am still hoping that there is some sort of documentation for using the downloadable CSV conversion tool which is on your web site at the "resources" / "conversion tools" link. If anyone has any experience or success story to share I would be very greatful.
Best Regards,
Dwight...
