hiding completed tasks
I'd like to add my voice to those asking for a toggle to hide completed tasks. I don't want to jump through hoops to get rid of clutter and I don't want to purge every 10 days. When I check something off, I just want it to immediately disappear from the outline. And if I checked something off by accident, I want LB to SHOW the completed items in order to find and uncheck it, then I will hide them again.
I think it has more to do with the level of detail you keep in the outline. If you are doing the GTD methodology, you will have far more tasks per project than someone not doing it. The completed tasks are clutter and it makes it difficult to find the uncompleted tasks in the outline with so many of them.
I also don't want to move them around in the taxonomy so that they are not in the way. When I do this I lose the relationships of tasks to original projects and high level goals. Too much work to see the big picture!!
As a programmer, I think it would be fairly simple to program LB to honor a system-wide setting and just not display any completed items while yet using them to calculate credit for top level goals.
So much for my $.02...

+1 for this idea, It's
+1 for this idea, It's awefully confusing with soo many completed tasks in my outline & I'd like to archive them
Just so you know...
Just so you know, you do not need to keep the completed tasks for them to be included in the calculations. It is okay to purge them, they still count.
We do archive on the desktop, but we have not provided an interface for you to access that information. Maybe someday that will be available.
We certainly do accept that as a suggestion. We know it would be helpful for some people to have a more accessible archive.
However, there is no reason to not purge out the "clutter" if you are simply concerned about the pie charts.
Best wishes,
