Finding the archive of Purged tasks

How can I look at the archive of tasks that have been purged?

I've read through the other posts about archiving and also remember something about purging from Windows and having the tasks archived. How do I find them? I'm looking for some information that was deleted when the task was completed.

Thanks.

Sorry, it might be gone if you have purged. Here are some ideas.

In the future, you might want to make a copy of your document before you purge. And like most things involving a computer, it is good to have a useful backup strategy. That said... here are some ideas for you.

If you synch with Palm, then Life Balance keeps backups before and after your last 10 synchs. That might help you retrieve what you are looking for.

If you were on a Mac, then there is Time Machine, but that won't help on Windows.

Just to clarify, Life Balance does not delete information when the task is marked complete.

Purge does delete old tasks. However, it only deletes tasks older than a particular timeframe, if they are not set to recur in the future.

Life Balance does keep some archived data behind the scenes that we can access under the debugger as developers. It is used to handle synchronization. There is no UI for you to access it, and the amount of information it keeps is dependent on the exact synchronization state. If you are looking for some particular piece of data, it isn't necessarily there.

I'm sorry that it may not be the answer you were hoping for.

In any case, I hope that you do find the information you deleted out of Life Balance somewhere, and that the message here is clear and helpful to you.

Best wishes,

Finding that backed up data?

Thanks Catherine.

When you say "If you synch with Palm, then Life Balance keeps backups before and after your last 10 synchs. That might help you retrieve what you are looking for." is that the same data as "Life Balance does keep some archived data behind the scenes that we can access under the debugger as developers. It is used to handle synchronization. There is no UI for you to access it, and the amount of information it keeps is dependent on the exact synchronization state. If you are looking for some particular piece of data, it isn't necessarily there."?

Either way, how do I find that data?

Can I suggest that LB have a setting that allows one to archive all purged data, similar to the Palm? That way once I finish a project/task (let's say with contact information and some notes), and purge it to clean up LB, I can always go back and find that data if I need it (similar to the Palm).

How to make a copy

Oh, one more thing. You say "In the future, you might want to make a copy of your document before you purge." Do you mean do a "save as" of the .LBD file before purging? That seems to work, but I wanted to make sure.
