A question from from a long absent user

Friends, I remember several years ago being able to download and print several useful documents. Some were by Bob Pankratz, I recall. One title I remember was "Beginners Guide to Getting Things Done with Life Balance", posted in 2003.
I've been looking for some of these downloads. I find references to them in messages, and even some extracts but I can't seem to find links to the actual formatted documents.
I bet I've just forgotten how to locate them. Can you help me find them? Any suggestions appreciated!
Bob.

RE: A question from from a long absent user
Hi there Bob,
I think you are actually looking for this post, "Balance all around" which is a simplified way of looking at Life Balance which was what Ratz eventually decided was a good way to go:

Also, the corresponding lbe exchange document for that post is still located in the resources section here:

You may also find the podcasts useful in the resources section of the web site. They are a good way to get your mind around the concepts in Life Balance quickly. We want to make more of those podcasts as we go along.

I hope that helps you to get started again.

There are downloads available at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GtD_Palm/files/Palm%20Applications/LifeBal...
It is a Yahoo group, so you will need to register. Or you can search for the thread #2122 in this forum, which is very long, but has links in the last pages.
Ratz first wrote a beginners' PDF, then one for power users, then the Balance All Around one, which doesn't supplant the earlier ones, but tweaks the power version to take advantage of LB's balancing function.
I would start with the Beginner's version, with one piece of advice:
Rather than using a place for Someday Maybe as he suggests, instead you should designate a task in the outline with that name and set its importance slider to zero. Then move under it any projects you want to defer and they won't appear in the todo list. This is a very easy way to move projects from active to inactive status and back again.
