Fall and Holiday helpers...

Hi there everyone,

Don't forget that there are exchange files available for "fall yard cleanup" and "Thanksgiving" and even (eek! coming up soon) templates for Christmas preparations to be found on the resources part of our site:

Have fun and get set for the Holidays!

RE: Fall and Holiday helpers...

Hi there to our community,

I thought we might also be able to add a few fun things to this thread. We could have our own Thanksgiving dinner party here in preparation for the big day.

Who's got the turbo-charged turkey baster this year in your house?

Any not so secret recipes for sweet potatoes? Do you like the marshmallow approach? or are you a puree purist?

Do you have something that you are particularly thankful for this year that you would like to share?

I would like to share with the community my ALL TIME FAVORITE Thanksgiving song, which even inspired our work with the Life Balance software in some small measure:

Below is a somewhat annoying "digital" version of the tune..
This is just so you get an idea of the whole tune, but it is only a faintest shadow of hearing it really performed:

If you are interested, look for renditions on Snow Goose records by Garnet Rogers (the version I know best), or in the original by Bob Franke.

A short audio snippet from Bob Franke:

Here's a link to the Garnet Rogers version, which can be hard to find. His version is more up-tempo, and I find it thrilling and inspiring every time I hear it.

And just to save some time, here are a couple of little links that I "gathered together" that I thought might also be fun, helpful and interesting for our friends out there.

And for those wishing to pardon the Turkey this year:

I always like the "sides" best anyway! :-)

Best wishes for a happy and heartwarming Thanksgiving from the Llama family to yours!

RE: Fall and Holiday helpers...

On the topic of the Christmas Exchange template file, you can set the date for the top task for the whole section, with a lead time of 3 weeks (or thereabouts) and the subtasks will all inherit the project's due date. No need to set the dates for each subtask.

This template is based on one I used last year, and you can adapt it easily to add in other holiday ideas.

I was just looking at it for a customer who asked about holiday planning in email, and noticed that this tidbit of information would be useful here.

Best wishes,
