Porting the iphone version to webos

Hi there, I realize there is already a locked discussion about a WebOS version of this software, but I just wanted to add a comment that hopefully can be considered by the developers and business decision-makers here at llamagraphics.

Firstly, I'd like to state that I fully appreciate the business decisions you guys make - as a tech-industry worker myself I understand how these things go.... and the iphone is a bit of a no-brainer for you guys to target as your primary mobile OS.

That said, I did want to raise the point that Palm seems to have gone through great pains recently to make porting from iphone to webos relatively painless. Indeed, a number of reports came out last month that even very complex games (often some of the most demanding/challenging pieces of software to code) can be ported in a matter of days. I imagine if a dev can manage a quick port of your software, it would still translate into an overall profit, despite the much smaller webos user base.

Despite the smaller user-base, I'll say this for die-hard palm users.... they tend to be pretty loyal, and they tend to check out all the greatest apps (since the overall pool is so much smaller and people seem to be willing to pay more than the 99-cent or free software model that apple seems to have cultivated for the iphone).

I do hope you consider it, feel free to search around the web for info on iphone-to-webos porting to see what others have to say. Again, I understand if you don't take this opportunity, but as a still-loyal Palm user, I would certainly be very thankful if you did (as do many of your die-hard fans I imagine).

=)

Porting the iphone version to webos

Let me add my voice to the request for a webos version of LifeBalance. Since the death of my beloved Clie a few years ago I have been without LifeBalance. I am an enthusiastic fan of my new Palm Pre and would love to be able to bring LifeBalance back into my mobile life.

I'm sure you have seen these links (http://developer.palm.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2107 , http://developer.palm.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2034). WebOS 2.0 seems like it would make it a little easier to port from the iPhone code base.

Thanks for all the work you've done in the past.

Thanks very much...

Thanks very much.... we are interested in that possibility and will reevaluate what's up with Palm. Please continue to breathe normally while we do our research. Outcomes are uncertain. Life Balance is not exactly like a game, and that makes it a different ball of twine to unravel.

me too!

Although I recently purchased an iPod touch, I too would love to see a WebOS version of Life Balance. I still have my TX as well as a Palm Pre Plus, and it would be **great** if Life Balance would run on all of them. I do occasionally use Life Balance on the Palm Pre Plus through the app "Classic".....but the "Classic" app adds another level of complexity, instability, and general irritation that I would much rather do without!

Palm WebOS 2.0 No longer supports "Classic"

I just bought a Palm Pre 2. Just found out the ""classic" app is not supported. I was hoping to run LB this way. An update on a WebOS version would be appreciated
