Hide completed Tasks in Outline

Hi.
There was a forum question in 2006 (probably more than once) about how to hide completed tasks in the outline, but not deleting them (since they're needed for the balance).
(see here http://www.llamagraphics.com/drupal/forums/windows-technical-support/hiw...)

philrob submitted a suggestion to include a toggle to show/hide completed items in future releases.

Is there a reason why that switch is still not included. It would help a lot. And the workaround suggested to philrob (move done tasks to a seperate folder) is - as the name implies - more work than necessary, isn't it?

It really seems a natural option to have

Hiding completed tasks doesn't seem like a big deal to implement (ok, being involved with programming I know there really are no trivial tasks ...). At the same time, it would make great sense. I think the combination of "relatively easy to implement" and "has great sense" would justify at least some hints on whether we're ever going to see this feature. Are we?

You can delete without affecting the balance pies...

Being able to archive or hide completed tasks would be a nice option for some people; however, there is also a misperception in the original thread.

You do not need to hang onto completed tasks in order for the balance pies to function. Feel free to purge or delete completed tasks whenever you want to.

Purge also does not delete tasks that are currently in a completed state, but that will at some point repeat in the future.

Best wishes,

Hiding tasks would also be helpfull in the case...

I run projects and really to have a complete overview of all tasks done within a project at the end of the project. Then that completed part I copy in a separate Lifebalance file and archive it with the project for traceability reasons.

During the project it would be beneficial to hide completed tasks. So for me this is also a valid feature request which would really be helpful.
