Can't restore Life Balance after losing battery power
LB 3.5 on Visor Deluxe with Palm OS 3.1H3, syncing with Windows XP. No LB for Windows.
My Visor Deluxe lost battery power (the battery cover fell off and the batteries came loose), so I've had to restore all my data and applications. If I do a HotSync, I get the following message when it completes: "You now need to reset your handheld computer by tapping the button below," which says "Reset". After I tap the button, the screen has a big "P" logo saying with the words "Palm Computing Platform" below it. The screen with the Palm logo doesn't go away and the Visor won't turn off. I have to do a hard reset and try restoring all my data again.
After some troubleshooting, I narrowed the problem down to Life Balance. If I remove the Life Balance files from the backup directory on my PC (C:\Program Files\Handspring\Barry\Backup) before doing the HotSync, the Palm logo goes away in a few seconds after the HotSync and I'm able to use my Visor - minus Life Balance. If I leave only the Life Balance files in the backup directory, the problem occurs.
How do I get around this problem?
