Remember collapse status, show items as one line, auto-update

I use both, the Palm and the Mac version of Life Balance and I'm more than happy with them! Here just a few remarks that I think would make Life Balance for the Mac even better:

(1) Life Balance should remember the status of collapes/expanded items. It's really annoying to start every morning with a fully expanded outline.

(2) Life Balance should be able to limit the to-do-list to one line per item, just as the Palm version does. This would make long lists less confusing. Perhaps Life Balance could let the users choose in the preferences which behaviour they prefer.

(3) Make the window a litte bit smaller so that it fits also on the screens of the toilet-shaped iBooks (800 x 600 pixels).

(4) What about an auto-update function that updates the to-do-list automatically, e.g. every five minutes?

Eric.

RE: Remember collapse status, show items as one line, auto-updat

We agree that Life Balance ought to remember the status of the Outline collapse and Expand state, and we would like to be able to support smaller screens eventually too.

I would like to see how folks feel about it once Life Balance is remembering the status of the collapse and expand state before considering restricting to one line. On the Palm, the screen is so small that if you are to see the structure of the Outline at all, it really helps.

We currently do have an Auto Update. If you have the "lock/unlock" icon in the To Do List view set to the unlock mode, then updates will take place automatically whenever you are in Life Balance. As you check off tasks, switch views, etc. If you have the lock set to the locked mode, then tasks will stay checked off in the to do list view, and you click on the Update button to refresh the list, similar to the Palm behavior.

Best wishes,
