DUN: Error installing on Panther

I cannot install version 3.2.2, or the previous version I was using before I installed Panther. I get the following message in a sheet:

"Sorry, the operation could
not be completed due to a
System error: (Access
Denied)."

My Panther install is a clean one (not an upgrade).

Are you using the Mac OS X installer, or the "Universal" installer?

That was with the universal installer. I wasn't aware there was a Mac OS X installer. I just downloaded it and ran the install. That worked!

Thanks for letting us know that the new installer was working for you!

The Universal version, which works on both Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 is a bit more sensitive to various access permissions issues.

When we update the postings around the web specifically for Mac OS X at places like Version Tracker, we'll be sure to point to the new installer.

It takes us a while to get the word out when we have a new release. :)
