Problem with To Do List View

I am reorganizing my places and find that some outline items do not show up on the To Do list.

I tried creating a new place and moved categorized items to the new place. When the outline items are located at the top of the outline, the items show up on the To Do list. But the items in the group listed below do not. When I rearrange the outline and change the place, which ever group is on top in the outline vies will show up on the To Do list.

Any idea what might be causing some items not to show up on the To Do list?
Thanks,

Don

This may not be an exhaustive list of what will filter a task

This may not be an exhaustive list, but a task will not appear in the todo list if, for example, any of the following apply:

- Importance slider - if it is set to "none"
- "Happens" setting - if set to be due on a date which is more than twice the "Lead time" from now
- The task is set to occur "Routinely", has been ticked and is not yet due to repeat according to the repeat interval and lead time
- The task is part of a list whose parent task is set to "complete subtask in order" and there is a task above in the list which is not ticked
- The task is set to happen "Once" and is the sub-task of a parent task with any of the above attributes
- The task belongs to a Place whose open hours setting causes it to be closed at present

Don't forget to click "update" to refresh the display of the todo list, or have auto update enabled if you are working on the desktop.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much!

Thanks for your list of things to try. One of my parent tasks had "complete subtask in order" checked. That explains why items showed up when I moved them to the top of the list.

Thanks again.
