iCal Sync and Purge

I like the syncing of Life Balance and iCal.

I don't know if this is possible without having to create a separate LifeBalance calendar in iCal.

When running a purge, I would like to only purge everything up to a certain number of days in Life Balance to clear everything up BUT I would like to not have the events deleted out of iCal so I can keep a history. It's not clutter in iCal. I don't use the To-Do portion in iCal, just the appointments.

Is that possible? Or possible in future versions?

Thanks
Dana

iCal and Sync Purge

I too am wondering about this.

Would it be possible to

Would it be possible to purge everything from Life Balance older than 30 days or whatever, except tasks that correspond to events in iCal? There'd be some extra stuff in the Life Balance file, but not near as much as I've been accumulating. My file is 2.6Mbytes! It's been ages since I've purged it.

I struggled mightily with

I struggled mightily with this issue at first as well. Long story short, there is no way to sync LifeBalance with iCal and have them be different from one another. My issue was also that I needed to have events remain in iCal because my job requires that I keep a record.

Even re-naming the calendars in iCal (calling them "Business-Completed," for example) didn't keep the events safe when purged from LifeBalance.

So, in the end, I never found a way to sync LifeBalance with iCal and keep events as a record in iCal. I just don't sync the two anymore. :-(

ICal and Life Balance

My sync between the two is constantly problematic because they are one hour different. When a Life Balance item appears on the calendar one hour different, it syncs back an hour different again. I sometimes end up with 3 different times for the same item. It doesn't seem to go on endlessly, but i have shown up for an appointment an hour early because of this. I need to fix it, but I can't figure out what is causing it. The clocks on the computer and iPhone are the same.

clocks

With a one-hour difference, if the clock times are the same between the Mac and iPhone, perhaps one is set to make automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustments and the other is not?
