Schedule repeat - same day each month

Hi -- so far I love LB! I read in the instruction book that I can schedule an event to happen on the same day each month. I have a report always due on the 15th, for example. I can't find the "same day each month" choice for scheduling in the event details... I only have the repeat every # days, weeks, months years option. Am I missing something?

Recurring events on same day each month

Hi Erin,

In the Time tab of your task, set Happens to By Calendar (not Routinely), then click the Add button. In the Schedule tab, set the date (and optionally the time) of the first occurrence on the appropriate day of the month, then in the Repeats tab, choose Same Date Each Month.

It's a little bit non-obvious because the recurrence-editing screen (with tabs Schedule, Repeats, and Note) is hidden behind the main editing screen (with tabs General, Time, Effort, and Note). There's no way to return directly from the former to the latter; you have to select a different task and then re-select the task you're editing in the Outline / ToDoList.

Earl, et. al.

Earl,

Just read your post (or rather, reply) regarding "Recurring events on same day each month". I'm not seeing some of the things you are mentioning.

I can get to the "Happens by Calendar" part, but don't see the "Add" button you mention. Do you mean "Edit Calendar Events"?
When I'm under the "Time" category, my options are: Happens, Next, Edit Calendar Events, Lead Time and Complete subtasks in Order.

If you do mean, "Edit Calendar Events", then I have another question.
I'm studying for school and my task is "Study".
When I go under "Edit Calendar Events", it wants me to add a Calendar Event (which I just list as "Study"), then my options are the Start Time, the Duration, Repeat (On/Off), and Ending. When I click on "Every" (under Repeat), my options are 3 number wheels and the categories of "Days", "Weeks", "Months" and "Years"....I don't see "Tues", or "Fri" or any other day of the week.

I need to study Tues and Saturdays from 9am-9pm, and Weds and Friday from 4pm-10pm, and the way it currently appears on my iPhone, I'll have to set up a different event for each day and tell the LB on my iPhone to repeat each individual event in 1 week (rather than set it up so that my 9am-9pm study sessions repeat every Tues and Sat, and my 4pm-10pm study sessions repeat every Wed and Fri...which is obviously easier and more logical to set up)).

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Justin
