Same idea... but on Windows the instructions vary

It is the same basic idea, but the mechanics are different on Windows.

On Windows it is also more common to be using third party firewall software, and then the instructions depend on what Firewall software you are using.

Nevertheless, you may need to allow Life Balance to be on the allowed list of applications so that it can make the WiFi connection.

If you let us know what firewall you are using, then maybe we (meaning either us llamas or even better, another member of our community who uses the same software) can help you find the right settings. :-)

Here are some general links on the topic for XP:

Here is one for Vista:

Hope that is helpful to you.

Good question... it depends on how you did the install.

If you did an "All Users" install you can find it at:

ProgramFiles/Llamagraphics/Life Balance/

or if you did a "Single User Install," it is harder to find. You can use the short cut that we put in the menu to find it.

You find Life Balance in the Start menu, then right click on it to choose "properties."

Under the General tab, you can find the location.

You can copy and paste that into the browse dialog for the Firewall exceptions to get to the correct directory.

That technique will actually work regardless of how you installed Life Balance.

I hope that is helpful and clear.

Best wishes,
