iPhone 4.0.1 Sync to LB on Windows 7?
My PC Sync issue is different. I recently bought a new Womdpws 7 PC and I am moving everything from my old XP computer. Syncing works fine on the XP machine, even after upgrading my iPhone to 4.0.1. Sync will not work on Windows 7 PC.
When I select Sync, I see the computer name. But when I select the computer name, I get the Network Error message saying to check your firewall setting. I checked and the settings are correct as far as I can tell. The Bonjour service is running, and turning off the firewall does not correct the problem.
The Backup to PC seems to be working (no errors). Although, I cannot find the backup file on my PC.
Just sayin', my problem seems to be on the desktop side (only for Windows 7, or just because I missed a step). Oh yes, using LB Desktop 5.2.1.

Looking at what you describe, I think this is likely to be the same iPv6 issue we have been discussing in the other thread over here...

Windows 7 enables iPv6 by default, iPv4 is still running. XP only uses iPv4. The issue has to do with what happens when iPv6 is not recognized during the sync process. It needs to switch over to iPv4, and that is not happening.
We have a permanent fix that seems to be working for the beta folks. Will be out soon. See the other thread for workarounds.
