Hi!
My name is Lars (signature vanbrayne) and I live in Sweden. I bought my first Life Balance license for Palm over six years ago.
Background
When I gave up my Palm three years ago, I reluctantly also gave up on Life Balance, because just having it on my PC was not good enough for me. Now with the new iPhone version I'm back again.
I used to spend many days with the forums to set up places, outlines, etc in an optimal way. Luckily I still had a working Palm that I could copy, so that I can start off where I left four years ago. I have really been missing Life Balance, so I am thrilled to be back!
Life challange
I work as a Solution Architect (IT) and I run a community site (http://www.membero.com) on the side. My balancing act is between my regular job, the site, my family, friends and time for myself. I focus a lot on my family - a wife and two kids.
Life Balance challanges
I did find it hard to find good values for Effort to really take advantage of the Balancing functionality. To be honest, the balancing never worked out for me. I will now try to use Effort set to 0 for most things and only give Effort credit for planning and reviews. That is the time that really counts for me, the rest is just executing the plans. For me it's not the hours I spend on the items that counts, it's the time I spend to think and plan that counts.

Hi, I'm Maux from the US - Chicago area. Like Lars, I used LB on the Palm and had to abandon it when I only had the desktop version (Mac). Now that I have the iPhone, I use it all the time. I've been reading the forums and it looks like improved task entry is in the future. That will be even better!

Hi there,
Good news. Improved Task entry is already available! Be sure you have the latest build installed on iPhone and desktop if you are synching. We already made big changes in how task entry works, and have gotten lots of positive feedback on the changes.
You may want to check out the latest docs, too, to make sure that you are taking advantage of the changes we made.
Not that there isn't always room for improvement. We're always working on it. ;-)
