I've been using Life Balance on Mac/Palm for about a year to balance my professional projects as a support astronomer for the Gemini Observatory in Chile with my scientific research projects and my personal tasks. I use a GTD process based on Ratz's example exchange file to keep everything that I have to do under control. It's great to have everything that I need to do in one place. I find LB to be more flexible than most other task systems and I appreciate the algorithmic part of the balancing. For the observatory most of what I do is develop the requirements for our observatory software tools that help us define, schedule, and carry out observations of planets, stars, and galaxies.
