Remembering important dates

LB is a great assistant. I love the way that it acknowledges urgency and importance without forgetting balance. I know I could get even more from LB if I thought about how I used it a little more, so I have a question. I have tasks such as "renew home insurance" which I simply must not miss, so they are assigned a due date, a lead time, and an importance setting of "essential". I hope I won't be absent-minded enough to miss that part of my Todo list when the time comes. Are there any tips and trips people can suggest that will make it even harder for me to overlook these tasks? Thanks for any ideas.

Syncing with iCal

Hi,

just sync your LB with iCal, set an alarm and your important task will show up in the future.

You are using a mac I hope :-) Otherwise, for windows alarm syncing, a windows user has to give advice.

By Calendar

For certain must not miss items like that, I sometimes set it by Calendar with a big lead time. I look at the monthly calendar at least daily and will see it repeatedly. Less chance of missing it if I happen to not see it in the To Do List.

I've always read about

I've always read about setting "must do" tasks on the calendar and reviewing that regularly. You could also setup an additional place for "Critical Tasks - Home" and make your normal "Home" place include this place. Then review quickly the Critical Tasks - Home regularly to see these tasks in a much shorter task list.

Its something I've tried with big projects at work (set up a place for the big project, and include it in Work), although I've not looked at it enough to make it work properly. However you may be better at this than me

Cheers

David
