Ipad-Mlo-The very good world of palm-Needs of new stuffs

I am very happy to hear that you are working on an ipad adaptation of LB.
I am an Italian Mac user, sorry for the not so good English.
I have to confess that in the last week, after a lot of visits to the forum, seeing that nothing was changing, no new messages from weeks, no news about implementations asked from users, I decided to go to an other software that you certainly know, MLO.
I installed it on my mac through parallels and started working on.
On a first moment i was amazed to see so much power in a program, all the feautures i want implemented in LB was there:

Notes links to internal tasks or external fles
Possibility to create custum views
All sort of colomns and fields
All kinds of filters, possibility to hide the tasks done
Custom formatting of the tasks and outline layout
Sequential finding with immediate list of matches
Quick entry window
....and other hundreds of features.

I said to myself: Wonderful, finallly i have catched the right tool, what i was waiting for has arrived at last.

It was'nt so simple.
In the last week i tried to dominate the power of the monster, nothing.
I have experimented a feel of confusion, inelegance in the input an output, useless of a lot of stuffs there just to be there.
After working one week on it i realized that put a lot of things in a software just because users are asking for it, isn't the right policy.

I realized the reason of effectiveness and good sensations that LB give.
LB comes from the world of Palm os wich was the kingdom of simplicity.
In the days we used palm the only thing we asked to the machine was to retrive a text string, in all the content of the device. through all the relative database's applications and it works. The rest was a work for our mind, not for the computer . The mind was free for intuition and meditation about a problem or a creative work.

Finally i understand the philosofy behind LB, very few rules give the possibility to do everything.
A lot of powerfool tools, with relative rules, give a lot of work around them.
To see the moon and not the finger.

So, the ipad, I am sure it will be a good occasion for you to put the same concept of simplicity of Lb at a higher step. And also a good experience from wich obtain a new vision about the develops of Mac Version.
