Hi Lee,
There actually is some nifty stuff for Windows - and it is still a free upgrade for Windows. We added Mark as Done/Not Done, Catch Up, Skip, and Postpone Until... commands to the Task menu and also display a last completion date column to the list of accomplishments in the Balance section. There's support for Windows Vista x64 and some conduit bugs fixed which especially affected the 'desktop overwrites handheld' - duplicates and sometimes crashes - and the DayNotez database update problem has been fixed.
So we haven't actually left out the Windows folk!
Jean
Yeah, that's really nice and it can be read on the website, though it doesn't answer Lee's real question.
Can you please share some info on the windows release plan?
I'd really like to know if you bring something similar to the apple script feature on windows. I mean, for some people this could drive the decision to buy a mac or not.
3.4 for Windows has just been posted, and there is good stuff in it. Go ahead and download the latest builds. We thought it was more important to get this set of releases out than for us to wait until we had feature for feature parity on all platforms. Especially for people who are using DayNotez or with Windows Vista x64.
The update to 3.4 is FREE for people with 3.x licenses. The 3.4 designation is what we needed to name it so that it worked with people's existing licenses.
We just did this major push to get this set of releases out, and we will need to see what makes sense to do next. Obviously, there's still plenty in the pipeline for three little llamas to do.
Buy a mac if you want one... or if scripting Life Balance is that important to you. For some people, it might be the right decision to do that. I imagine that for most people there would probably be more involved in the decision to switch platforms.
Best wishes,
