Hi there,
Open mail and select what you want to make into a Life Balance task
Open Automator (we assume you have Leopard and have an outline marked to open automatically in Life Balance)
Choose Custom
Choose Mail
Choose Get Selected Mail Items- drag it to the workflow area on the right
Choose Calendar
Choose the Life Balance item Create Tasks - drag it to the workflow area on the right
Enter the information for 'Create new tasks under task:' - that would be the
parent for the tasks you are going to create.
Choose the Life Balance item Set Place - drag - then choose the place for the new task
Choose the Life Balance item Set Importance - drag - then choose the importance for your new tasks
Choose the Life Balance item
Run
That's the basic operation. You will have a new task under the chosen parent, with the subject line being the name and the content in the notes field.
You can save this workflow and run it again with different selected mail messages. You can use 'Get New Mail' as your top item - but one very important tip - make sure that the number of mail messages for the 'get' stage is limited or you will have an unwieldy outline!

Hope this helps!

This looks great. Any idea how this might be done in Windows?
