Keyboard navigation redux

I found the keyboard shortcuts thread from a very long time ago, and I was wondering if the discussed keyboard navigation options were still being considered? It would hugely increase my productivity while using LB if there were consistent keyboard shortcuts.

For example, cmd-up and cmd-down could always select the previous and next task (especially when there are no tasks selected, or I am editing one of the other fields like date or note). Something else that would be fantastic is option-up/down to re-order and option-left/right to promote and demote the currently selected task.

One other thing that I am frequently frustrated by is the lack of keyboard shortcuts to switch between the "tabs". I have to click on "Outline" and "To Do List", which is very slow in comparison to a single keyboard shortcut.

Is there any chance of this sort of thing being implemented? Thanks for the great app, and keep up the good work! :)

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

The current list of keyboard shortcuts can be found here:

Hi Catherine, Thanks for

Hi Catherine,

Thanks for pointing out the keyboard shortcuts list. While cmd-up and cmd-down do work to select the next and previous task if a task is already selected, they don't work at all when no tasks are selected. This behaviour is easy to reproduce: simply bring up the Outline or To Do List, click in the empty area beneath the listed tasks, and then try to push cmd-up or cmd-down. Nothing happens.

Furthermore, the keyboard shortcuts also do not work when editing the task. For example, click on a task, edit the Note, and then try to push cmd-down to go to the next task. It doesn't work.

The other requests were just things that I find myself wanting to do almost every time I use LB: promote a task to the level of its parent (cmd-left?), demote a task to be underneath the task directly above it (cmd-right?), and switch between Outline and To Do List views (cmd-opt-1/2?) from the keyboard.

LB is wonderful, and far and away the best task and time management program I have tried. I am just hoping it can get even easier to use. :)

Thanks!

Thanks...
