Updated to Palm 3.4.1 and Mac 4.0.5 - sync issue
Posted December 24th, 2007 by lakeplacid
All my linked entries in the Palm datebook got duplicated again, the first time I synced after updating from the previous to the latest version (4.0.5) of the Software. I am using Max OS 10.4.11 and Treo 650. iCal syncing is turned off.

RE: Updated to Palm 3.4.1 and Mac 4.0.5 - sync issue
The new versions of Life Balance on the desktop will produce automatic backups with snapshots of your data from before and after every hotsync.
This will allow you to recover to the prior state before the sync.
On Windows, this folder is usually C:\Program Files\Palm\HotSyncName\Life Balance\Life Balance snapshots. On Macintosh, this folder is Documents/Palm/Users/HotSyncName/Life Balance snapshots.
Zip the folder -- not whole folder with every snapshot -- look for the subfolder for the date of the problematic hotsync (so the attachment is small). You can submit those files to us in the support center. We may be able to get it the exact case to happen under the debugger if the problem is repeatable for your data set and not due to the phase of the moon. :-)
Select the folder in the finder, choose "Create Archive" in the Finder's File menu, and it will create the zip archive.
Best wishes,
