Llamagraphics Writer's Guidelines

Llamagraphics publishes its reviews and essays in an area we call The Meadow.

Most of the coachly articles have been in the essay section, but reviews are welcome too. We enjoy doing illustrations. We welcome even simple photos to get the ball rolling too.

For a review, you should aim for about 250-300 words, and for a more or less grown up audience. People who may have kids...rather than the kids themselves. However, you should keep in mind that we run a family friendly site, so we do not accept anything smutty or inappropriate for the younger set!

Part of our company's mission is to support the work of ambitious people and artists. Because of this, we only review works that we liked. If we didn't like an artist's work, we would rather not complain or be hurtful about it. We would prefer simply not to review it!

Our essays tend to be longer, and on any topic loosely connected to balancing work (school), home life, and leisure time. The important thing is to stay positive and upbeat, although painful topics can be dealt with as long as you show someone how to cope better rather than wallowing around in the grip of depression.

We frequently accept humorous stories.

Text should be sent in the body of an email message or as a simple Text attachment. We can accept files written in most word processors, but we like text the best. We like to receive material by Friday for posting by Wednesday.

We accept companion illustrations in 72 dpi, jpeg or gif format or in original layered photoshop files.

We'll be sure to give you a credit on the bottom of the web page! Your credit line should be limited to a short paragraph, which may include a link to your web site or email address.

There may be editorial revision prior to release, but that will be done with the consent of the author.
