In addition to being one of the best albums for the holiday season, we find ourselves being more productive and calmer when this CD is on....at least after I stop doing my Snoopy dance. If your nerves are a little frayed around the edges, spin up this CD, which includes many favorites from the soundtracks of the Peanuts® animations and snuggle up with a mug of Hot Chocolate and wait for the snow to fall. (Even if it is a stretch of the imagination this year for us in the Eastern US.)
Here's my recipe for Hot Chocolate to get you started:
Get a mug of milk, steaming hot...be careful not to scald the milk or you'll make a skin on the surface of the milk. Add a dollop of Orange Blossom honey, clover honey will do in a pinch. Add in about a capful of vanilla. Put in about a half a teaspoon of cocoa powder and stir well. Go a little shy on the cocoa, to allow the vanilla and the cocoa to both register on your tastebuds. Then sprinkle on a little cinnamon. If you are fortunate, when you dust on a liitle nutmeg, the cinnamon will spread out to the sides of the mug in an interesting and surprising fashion. For those of us with Physics degrees this is a big thrill.
