Customer Spotlight: Ben from New Orleans
Ben is a customer from New Orleans who recently started using Life Balance to manage the challenges he and his wife faced rebuilding their lives after Hurricane Katrina. We are honored that he gave us permission to share his story on our web site. He asked that we only refer to him as "Ben from New Orleans" to respect his privacy.
I guess everyone who uses and embraces your software "Life Balance" probably has a story about their discovery of the tool and a view of where they were before and after. This message will be similar but a bit different. I was a resident of New Orleans through hurricane Katrina. The end of 2005 and the beginning of 2006 have been a difficult time for my wife and I.
I have always been a person who was pretty good at managing my own to do lists at work and at home. However after the hurricane I have struggled to manage tasks and requirements. We relocated to a new city and state for employment reasons. And while this was a good decision overall it has only added to the complexity in our lives. I used to pride myself on my ability to get things done. Now there seems no end in sight for many tasks. Working towards larger overall life goals has been replaced by just trying to remember all the things I need to do to get through today.
I set out to find a tool to help me manage my To Do lists. That is when I read about and found Life Balance on the internet. I read the manual and downloaded the 30 day trial on my computer and Treo. It took about a week but soon I started to load everything I need to do, their priorities, importance, due dates, places, hours, I dumped it all into the Life Balance program. Because I was making so many phone calls to insurance, medical, government and other companies, I also downloaded the Natara Day Notez Trial and recorded more detail related to my completed items and details of the phone calls I was making.
By day 15 I could feel my mind letting go. I no longer had to remember everything, Life Balance was doing that for me. I started to put in larger life goals. Not just the details I needed to do in the next few days but the things I wanted to work towards in life. Things are really progressing for me.
